Room 2's Treaty

Last week, our class had a special "meet the teacher" evening.  This was an opportunity for 

our family to meet Whaea Sally and see what kinds of things we do during our school day.  The first thing that Whaea Sally mentioned was our Treaty.  Have a look at our video of our promises.

In small groups, we talked about promises we could make by relating them to our school values which are Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.  Then together as a class we decided and finalised what our treaty would say.

Then together, we all signed our treaty.
Our treaty is hanging on our wall where we can always see it.

New year, new chromebooks

Today was a very exciting day for some of our students at Kawakawa Primary School.  It was our Chromebook roll out day, a special day where our year 4 students and our new students in year 5-8 get their very own chromebook.

Our school have only been using chromebooks for a year.  We are learning so much on our chromebooks and we love finding new and interesting ways to show our learning.

Kawa of Care

In room 2 we are talking about the Kawa of care, today we chose 3 things about the Kawa of care that we think are most important.  This is Deeny's poster and next time she would love to do her very own D.L.O (Digital Learning Object)

Room 2 2016

Today was our final assembly and prize giving.  What a crazy year we have had, from going paperless, to the new pool, to a new teacher.  Whaea Sally has been so proud of our achievements.  Well done to all our students who received awards today:

The night before Christmas animation

Our class read the famous poem "Twas the night before Christmas" (Otherwise known as A visit from St. Nicholas)   Written by Clement Clarke Moore.  Here is Miria, Payton and Tahlya's animation based on this poem.  Enjoy!

Room 2 Mannequin challenge
